In his concise treatise, The Small Compendium (al-Nubdhah al-Ṣughrā), the prominent Yemeni scholar al-Ḥabīb Abū Bakr al-ʿAdanī ibn ʿAlī al-Mashhūr outlines Fiqh al-Taḥawwulāt—the Jurisprudence of Transformations. This branch of Islamic study uses the Qurʾān and Sunnah to analyze historical shifts, societal evolutions, and the Signs of the Day of Judgement. Building on the famous Ḥadīth of Jibrīl, the author argues that understanding these End-Times signs is the fourth core pillar of the faith, serving as an essential companion to Islām, Īmān, and Iḥsān.
