In their book, Early Guiding Stars of KZN, Moulana (Dr) Yunoos Osman and Dr Farouk Amod document the lives and contributions of pioneering Muslim scholars (Ulama) in KwaZulu-Natal between 1860 and 1960. The authors published the book to address a historical information gap and acknowledge these religious figures who were foundational to the region’s Muslim community.
