Maulana Muhammad Carr discusses contemporary modes of modern day wealth and vehicles of investments, such as pension funds, investment funds and debt — deferred and immediate; as well as issues pertinent to contemporary businesses — such as merchandise and its profit in addition to everyday scenarios involving salaries, endowments and inherited assets. An overview of how gold and silver is regarded is explained as well as the eight classifications of those eligible as zakah recipients arc expounded upon. About The Author Maulana Muhammad Carr completed his memorization of the Quran at Dar al-Ulum Zakariyyah in 1997. Subsequently, he matriculated from Islamiya Boys High in the year 2001. Upon the completion of his secondary education, he pursued his tertiary education at the University of Damascus language center where he obtained a certificate in the Arabic language. Further Islamic studies were taken up in the form of the Alimiyyah degree (BA equivalent) at Dar al-Ulum al-Arabiyyah al Islamiyyah in Strand, Western Cape during the years 2004-2007. Maulana also served as a teacher of Islamic studies during the year 2006 at the above mentioned institution and went on the following year to teach at Darun-Na-eem institute where he currently teaches. He is also the present co-imam of the Auwal Masjid alongside Sheikh Ismail Londt.
