This book is an English translation of as-Sirat an-Nabawiyyah; a scholarly and thoroughly researched Arabic work of Shaykh Abul-Hasan Ali Nadwi (May Allahs Mercy be upon him). However the title has been taken from the Urdu translation of the said work. In this book, the author has been particularly mindful of the current generation’s mindset, taste, understanding and sensibilities. Similarly, he has been entirely considerate of the modern method of research and discourse, so that the content, evidences and style prove to be effective. In preparing the book, the author has read old and new literature, in Arabic and other languages; so that the book, in addition to being comprehensive, is also able to dispel any confusion that exists in the modern mind. As a result, this book has received much acclaim, and within a short space of time it has been included in the syllabus of universities. Now, the English version of this book is in your hands, so that English speakers may also benefit.
Notions That Must Be Corrected is perhaps the most important and renowned work of the late Sayyid, Shaykh Muhammad b. ʿAlawi al-Maliki al-Hasani. Throughout his masterpiece the author offers valuable and wise words of caution against extremism and invites the Muslims to the path of Ahl al-Sunna wal-Jamaʿa, the hallmark of which is tolerance and moderation. Sayyid Muhammad expertly clarifies the correct position relating to numerous controversial contemporary topics whilst maintaining strict adherence to the Qurʾan, the Sunna, and the way of the Salaf.
The book itself has been divided into three parts, the first of which is concerned with areas of research relating to Islamic doctrine, including clarifying the corruption found in the criterion for imputing others with disbelief and misguidance, as well as concepts such as intermediation and intercession. The second section deals with issues relating to the Prophetﷺ, including his unique characteristics, the reality of Prophecy, the reality of humanity, and the correct understanding of seeking blessings from the Prophetﷺ and his relics. The final part deals with miscellaneous areas of research including the Isthmus life [barzakh], the legality of visiting the Prophetﷺ, and other related matters such as relics, sanctuaries, and festive religious occasions.
Scores of Islamic scholars hailing from all parts of the world wrote commendations for this work, while many more have taught from it, or written about it in their articles. The huge positive impact the book made in Islamic circles unfortunately led to hardship for the noble Shaykh in his home country due to misguided verdictslevelledagainst him.In response to this, leading scholars throughout the world vehemently defended the noble Shaykh and wrote extensive and decisive refutations of his detractors.
“This book should be required reading for the Islamic world, and should be studied and taught to children because of the explicit truth, correct views and defence of Islam's sanctities that it contains. This book clarifies the misguidance, lies, and false claims of the enemy, and certainly, Allah shall aid His righteous servants by aiding His religion.” —Shaykh Hasanayn Muhammad Makhluf
_ab_b Abu Bakr al-Adani is a descendant of the Prophet Mu_ammad_. He is a well-known Yemeni scholar and jurist, as well as a prolific writer. The book concerns a newly emergent discipline, the jurisprudence of transition and social change, which is drawn from the signs of the Day of Judgement. _ab_b Abu Bakr al-Adani explains the significance of this discipline in assisting us to understand the challenges arising from current transition and change. A seeker equipped with such understanding is better able to traverse the straight path in times of tribulation.

Nur Al ‘Uyun Fi Talkhis Sirat al-Amin al-Ma’mun (S)
The Light of the Eyes
A concise biography of the trustworthy and reliable Prophet (PBUH)
Great historical personalities are inevitably popular subjects for biography and cursory glance at a list of biographies composed about the Prophet Muhammad SAW will confirm him, by universal consensus, as the greatest personality of all time. One whom model Muslims today are commanded to follow and obey.
While other biographical literature varies in regards of authorship, authenticity, length, breadth of detail and historical, cultural and religious perspective, this work attempts to assimilate the most beneficial aspects of all these features.
Both concise and comprehensive, it relies heavily on rigorously authenticated (sahih) and fully referenced sources, and is brimming with knowledge that ‘delights the soul and adorns the pages’.
Its Arabic edition has consequently achieved the deserved status of an indispensable manual for both the adept and budding student of knowledge. We pray that this English version will prove equally beneficial.
About The Author
Imam Abu’l-Fath Muhammed ibn Muhammad, better known as Ibn Sayyid an-Nas (671-734/1273-1334) was a renowned Egyptian hadith expert.
He devoted his life to the pursuit of knowledge, excelling in many disciplines associated with hadith literature and the Arabic language. Imam Dhahabi said of him:’rarely does one set eyes on his like in terms of his understanding and learning.’
He authored numerous books, the most famous of which is ‘Uyun-al-Athar fi Funun al-Maghazi wa’sh-Shama’il, a comprehensive work of biography(sirah)on the Prophet Muhammed saw, of which this book is a succinct edited version.
One of al-Ghazali's advanced students wrote to the Imam with a question: From all the fields of knowledge, what will benefit us most in the grave? The student clarified that, while he could certainly find the answer to his question within al-Ghazali's longer works, such as the Ihya 'Ulum al-Din, he wished for his teacher to give him a formal legal opinion, short enough that he could keep it with him at all times and refer to it constantly.
Ayyuhal Walad is the great Imam's response: a personal note from al-Ghazali to his student, and by extension to anyone who desires to follow their way. Imam al-Ghazali elucidates the following for his student, and for the modern reader:
The precise nature of the relationship between knowledge and action, and the role of each in one's striving for Paradise
The significance of the night prayer
Some advice from Luqman the Wise to his son, and its enduring meaning and importance
A concise definition of obedience and worship, which al-Ghazali states is the quintessence of knowledge
The four matters that are required of a spiritual traveler
A single hadith that contains the entirety of the knowledge of the ancients as well as the men of latter days
Eight lessons that are sufficient for deliverance and salvation
Ayyuhal Walad is designed to be read and reread, and referred to frequently throughout one's life. The reader must take note that the original recipient of this letter was a top student of Imam al-Ghazali, and therefore a scholar of the highest caliber himself. This book is thus invaluable simply as a record of the interaction between one of the Ummah's greatest teachers and his esteemed disciple. However, al-Ghazali's prescriptions are conveyed with such clarity that any Muslim of high aspiration will benefit from this text.
This edition includes Ustadh Moustafa Elqabbany's meticulous English translation side-by-side with al-Ghazali's original Arabic epistle. This arrangement allows the English-speaking reader to get a taste of al-Ghazali's unique style, while students of Arabic may peruse the Imam's masterful Arabic prose alongside Ustadh Moustafa's elegant English rendition.

Modern times have made it even more important that Muslims acquaint themselves with their Prophet ﷺ, not only for the sake of their personal spiritual development, but also for the sake of the religion as a whole. There has perhaps never been a time when the world was more in need of an authentic depiction of the Best of Creation ﷺ. Our Master Muhammad ﷺ, the Messenger of Allah is a unique work discussing the noble qualities and characteristics of the Final Prophet ﷺ in a way that is infused with love and devotion. In the first volume of this book, the author depicts all the fine attributes of our Prophet ﷺ with respect to his physical beauty, his eloquence and wisdom, his exalted status, his sublime character and his mercy ﷺ.
This expression of Prophetic love and longing was written by the ‘Pole of Prophetic love in our times’, the venerable saint, Hadith scholar and exegete: Imam ʿAbdallah Sirajuddin al-Husayni His book is an exceptional demonstration of sound scholarship and spiritual realization.
“It is as though the Shaykh was looking directly at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before him as he wrote, deriving his beautiful expressions from the light of his ﷺ countenance, so that by divine providence his insight was opened, and he grazed in the pastures of subtle secrets, uncovering the beauty and perfection of the Messenger’s ﷺ character, imbibing the fragrance of the Prophetic Sunna, bathing in the light of the Muhammadan reality and its meanings, and tasting of its fruits, and then gathering all of these illuminations in a work so noble and rarefied that it would not be surprising if it were to be read to a sick person and so cure him.” –Shaykh Muhammad b. In this day and age, it is essential for the Muslim community and humanity at large to acquire a detailed description of the Best of Creation, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Our Master Muhammad ﷺ, the Messenger of Allah is a book of devotion written from the heart and addressing every heart that yearns to draw closer to best of Allah’s creation. In this second volume of the book, the author details the exemplary character traits of our Prophet ﷺ, his devout worship, his noble lineage and progeny, and the blessings of his physical-self and personal effects, and his infallibility in both religious and worldly matters.
“O you who love the Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Time has isolated us, tribulations have spread amongst us, the charlatans have spoken, and many people have preoccupied themselves with that which relieves neither hunger nor thirst. We have lost the warmth of the love of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the warmth that those who love him feel, and which those who yearn for him desperately seek, and in the beauty of which the most knowledgeable ones in Allah lose themselves. The reality of this love is absent, whilst claims to it are many, and the way of the Companions and the model of their love have been reduced to mere stories and legends. So let us renew our covenant with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and bear the banner of love to the most sincere and lasting love, and the most enduring and faithful reverence, and the brightest and most resplendent light, and the Beloved and Chosen One of Allah.” –Shaykh Muhammad b. Yahya al-Ninowy
